[Forever shameless, Ardyn doesn't care if he's being ridiculous.]

Perfect. See? No buckles or buttons or anything getting in the way. Aren't you touched by how thoughtful I am?

Oh, but of course. It warms my heart knowing you put such careful thought in how best to see me disrobe.

[ He then takes the shirt in his hand and… chucks it at Ardyn’s head, tail waving frantically with amusement even as he says, ]

You are awful.

[wow RUDE???

The shirt lands quite neatly on top of his head, obscuring his face for a hilarious moment. Ardyn reaches up to remove it, fingers in soft new cloth, leaving his hair even more of a mess than it usually is once he finally frees himself.

He's hardly offended, only grinning widely. Even as being called 'awful' is flung at him moments later.]

Is this how you show your gratitude? Literally throwing my gifts to you back in my face?

[ He hadn’t expected Ardyn to just let the shirt hit him – the man can teleport, after all – so the result is quite comical indeed. X’rhun is already grinning, but now his expression cracks wide open, teeth flashing. ]

This is how I scold you. Don’t think I haven’t noticed your ogling.

[Ardyn feigns absolute, utter surprise... even as he tosses the shirt haphazardly back at his friend, right at his face.]

I do not ogle, like some lecherous soul. I'm simply making sure all is as it ought to be.

[ X'rhun isn't as good a sport about the shirt throwing as Ardyn, and snatches it out of the air before it can hit him. ]

Oh, but you do, and you are. You've been enjoying the view from the moment I undid my buttons.

[ No more ogling for you, sir! He tugs the t-shirt back over his head, so there! ]

[And at that, he has to let out an audible laugh. What a shame X’rhun is putting his shirt back on, but he supposes he did buy it so it could be worn.]

Please. Acting as if you don’t enjoy the way my eyes slide across you. I know better than that.

[So much for not being lecherous.]

Excuse you, I’ll have you know I take no such enjoyment under the gaze of a terrible man such as yourself.

[ That is such a lie. He didn’t even try all that hard to hide it. ]

[A hand to his chest, in a dramatic gesture of being both hurt and resigned.]

[ He laughs. ]

Anything but that. My poor ego needs the stroking, even if you are horrible.

I see. Good to know that you place your ego above your sense of decency.

[He could have made a joke about stroking here, but Ardyn will hold his tongue this time. Maybe.]

[ He's a little disappointed at the lack of a joke, to be honest. He set it up so nicely and everything! ]

I don’t know. I suppose we’ll see, won’t we?

[ He grins up at Ardyn, keeping his arms loose at his sides for now. ]

Just take care not to rip it, hm? It was a gift.

I'll do my best.

[-he says with a glimmer in his eyes. X'rhun can keep his arms as loose or stiff as he likes, it'll certainly not matter. Because Ardyn activates that magic of his, literally making his friend's shirt disappear from his body in the usual crystalline display.]

[ Well, that was a strange sensation to say the very least. Startled, he looks down at his now bare torso, ears and tail twitching with surprise. ]

You-! That's cheating!

[He's looks completely, utterly pleased with himself, and isn't bothering to hide it.]

It's not as if you established any rules. [He pokes a finger playfully at X'rhun's now-exposed chest.] So you cannot accuse me of cheating.

[ He flicks his ears as Ardyn pokes him. Now that the surprise has worn off, he's only too amused. ]

Fine, fine. I shall allow you this victory, but if my state of dress was such a problem for you to begin with, why did you not pull out that little trick in the first place?

[daemonized]

Because sometimes I like to watch you undress.

[He reaches out, running his hands down X'rhun's side, a crooked smile on his face.]

And sometimes I'm impatient. Is that so hard to believe that I'm a man whose moods and preferences vacillates?

[verflair]

More and more I believe it is you who is the cat in this relationship, not I. How very odd that is for me.

[ He’s content to let Ardyn do as he pleases, though the sheer absurdity of this conversation has not escaped him. Not that it matters – he enjoys the attention regardless. ]

Oh? And why is that? Because I like to play with my prey?

[Well, at least X'rhun will be getting plenty of attention here soon, even if absurdity did lead them to this point.]
